Cystic Fibrosis
Scholarship Foundation
Helping young adults with
CF pursue their dreams
The Cystic Fibrosis Scholarship Foundation,
founded by a parent of a young adult with CF, is pleased to
announce a scholarship program for students with Cystic Fibrosis.
The program is available to those who will be enrolled in
college (two or four year program), graduate school, or a
vocational school in the fall of 2002.
Scholarships will be awarded based on a combination
of financial need, academic achievement, and leadership. Awards
may be used for tuition, books, and room and board. Awards
will be sent directly to the institution that the student
is attending. Scholarships will be for one year. Students
can reapply the following year for an additional award. Grants
from $1,000 to $2,000 will be awarded.
Recipients of awards will be notified by
April 21, 2003. Scholarship application forms are due to the
foundation by March 7, 2003. Application forms will be available
after November 15, 2002 and may be requested via e-mail to
MKBCFSF@aol.com, by
phone by calling 847-328-0127, or in writing. When requesting
an application, please indicate your current status in school
(ie., High school senior, freshman in college, etc.). This
is important in order to be able to send the appropriate application
form.
The CFSF would like to acknowledge the
assistance of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in communicating
this program to the CF community. We support the CF Foundation's
mission of finding a cure for CF and improving the lives
of those with the disease.
